“GSEZ is a Public Private Partnership between the Gabonese State, represented by the CDC, and the ARISE Group born from the will of the Highest Authorities, headed by His Excellency, Mr. President of the Republic- Ali Bongo Ondimba, to provide our country with a full-fledged tool for the second and third local transformation of wood. Today, this model tested in Nkok has been extended to Ikolo near Lambarene and Mpassa Lebombi near Franceville. It is the recognition of the excellence of this model that has resulted in our zone being awarded the title of the best economic zone in the world in the field of wood production in the FDI intelligence 2020 ranking of the Financial Times.”

“Starting from one unit to cater to in house requirements of rotary veneer to becoming one of the largest rotary veneer units in Gabon: our journey has been eventful as well as a great success. We started our operation at the SEZ in 2016. Greenply Gabon SA has been producing Okoume Rotary Veneer from our plant at the SEZ. For any producer in the timber industry, sustainable and good quality timber availability is the primary necessity. As Gabon provides this in abundance, we could not help but take notice of this shining opportunity. Some of our other motivations include the fact that the SEZ offers tax rebates and benefits, without forgetting the Single Window operations for clearance which eases operation and cuts down time. We have grown exponentially over the past few years. We began with one unit and now we have two operational units. Our production has grown from a 80 CBM log basis to a 420 CBM log basis per day. Our markets have expanded from India to SE Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North America. Additionally, we are now actively vying for a market share in the US. We will soon be into Forestry as backward integration, and going forward, we hope to set up our own lumber, plywood and furniture units in the years to come. We also further intend to expand our Rotary Veneer unit capacity; machines have already been ordered to that end. We have even proposed to set up a Slicing Veneer unit. This is just the beginning of a successful journey, and we have every intention of continuing to build memories and achieve milestones at the Gabon SEZ.

General Director, Mr Indraneel“The zone welcomes every kind of project, so long as it helps and enhances the Gabonese economy.” La Santé Pharmaceutique is a pharmaceutical company promoted by Indian entrepreneurs incorporated in June 2017. We aim to manufacture and sell a large quantity of high-quality medicine, particularly in Africa. Pharmaceutical Health has an expansion capacity of 231 million units for the heavy production of tablets, capsules, ointments and syrups. We started our Project in Gabon in 2017. As we are a pharmaceutical company, we needed quite some time to settle down. Luckily, Nkok SEZ provides a stable and competitive economic climate for companies intending to settle in Gabon. The zone welcomes every kind of project, so long as it helps and enhances the Gabonese economy. Today, we are at the stage of production, and in few months, we will start presenting our products to the Gabonese population.
